Boundary House (seen in the centre of the above picture) is located in the north of the Lake District National Park. On three sides there are views of the mountains, including Skiddaw, and on the fourth views across the Solway Plain and Firth to Scotland. It is conveniently sited for Keswick (8 miles), Cockermouth (7 miles) and Carlisle (20 miles). We are perfectly located for a range of activities including walking (for all abilities), cycling (the Reivers Cycle Route passes the property), mountain biking in the Whinlatter Forest (3 miles), birdwatching (the Ospreys can be viewed in Dodd Wood, 5 miles away) as well as a multitude of other birds at the property and in the surrounding area, Canoeing and Sailing (on Bassenthwaite Lake (2 miles) and Derwentwater (9 miles), exploring historic houses (Wordsworth's House in Cockermouth and Mire House). There are four pubs/ restaurants within 2 miles, all of which serve meals. The accommodation, for two people, is self contained and accessed by a flight of stairs. It comprises of a large bedroom ( with double bed, tv, fridge, kettle) and ensuite shower room. Well behaved dogs and other pets are welcome.
